Why I Shoot Weddings on Both Film and Digital (And Why It's the Best Decision I Ever Made)
Wedding days are filled with moments that deserve to be photographed in the most authentic, intentional way possible—and that’s why I love shooting weddings on both film and digital. Together, they complement each other beautifully.
Digital photography is perfect for quickly and artfully capturing the wedding day. It’s smooth, sharp, and very high quality, giving the images an editorial feel.
But film? Film is where the story is built. The grain, warmth, and candidness that 120mm film creates simply cannot be replicated. There’s an unspoken, nostalgic quality that makes it easy to remember what that moment felt like.
Digital captures the energy. Film captures the feeling. I aim for my images to be simultaneously timeless and modern, resulting in a gallery you’ll never grow tired of looking at.
If you're searching for a wedding photographer who shoots both film and digital, I'd love to chat. You can head over to my WEDDINGS page. Your wedding day deserves images that feel as real and beautiful as the day itself — and I truly believe this combination is the most fitting to make that happen.
